Stephen Boruff, AIA Architects + Planners, Inc. was commissioned to provide full architectural and interior design services for the completion of approximately 9,500 square feet of space on the third floor of Wellington Regional Medical Center to accommodate a new 10-bed Critical Care Unit. The unit contains a centralized Nurse Station with perimeter arranged private patient rooms to provide direct visual contact into each of the spaces. The project was designed in accordance with the 2010 FGI Guidelines for the Construction of Health Care Facilities and was reviewed and approved by the Office of Plans and Construction with the State of Florida, Agency for Healthcare Administration. The project was constructed utilizing the Lean Approach to Integrated Project Delivery.
