About This Project

Palm Beach State College commissioned Stephen Boruff, AIA Architects + Planners, Inc. to provide full architectural services for a 147,000 square foot, $33 million, Public Safety Training Center on the Lake Worth Campus. The Criminal Justice’s 300’x600’ Driving Course contains a “wet” skid pad, allowing the students to experience any number of driving events including pursuit scenarios, maneuvering, rain conditions; all in preparation for their professional duties. The facility also includes a 3-story Burn Building, an Observation Platform, a Prop Field including LP Gas Props, a Vehicle Extrication simulation area and several emergency response scenario drill areas.
