Palm Beach County | Parks and Recreation Administration Building

About This Project

The Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Administration facility is located within John Prince Park and replaces their existing facility, while acting as their new expanded headquarters. The new facility consists of over 25 thousand square feet of office space and offers public access to various Parks & Recreation Departments, ranging from their Special Facilities and Beaches Division to their Recreational Services Department.

The project was developed in two phases, which enabled the existing facility to remain operational throughout construction. Architecturally, each phase was designed to have a 30 foot “light wall” which acts as a public entry feature, as one approaches the new complex. Inside the facility, the wall provides a play of natural light over the main circulation space.
