Jupiter Medical Center | Hospital Addition – Main Entrance and Bed Tower

About This Project

Stephen Boruff, AIA Architects + Planners, Inc. was commissioned to provide full architectural and engineering services for the Main Entrance and 5-story Bed Tower addition at Jupiter Medical Center.

The expansion is being designed to seamlessly integrate into the Hospital Campus. The expansion provides the opportunity to create a new covered drop off area, and main entry into the Hospital. This will provide better vehicular circulation within the hospital campus, and also add an additional ingress/egress point to the campus. The expansion has been designed to complement architecture around the campus, while also providing a modern upgrade. In today’s healthcare environment, patients want high quality design that makes them feel they are receiving the most state of the art healthcare with the comfort of home.

The first floor, covered drop off area and lobby creates a hospitality environment to enhance the patient and visitor experience and reestablishes the East entrance to the hospital creating a grand two story lobby welcoming visitors & patients. The two story lobby brings the outside in with sculptural leaves delicately hanging from the ceiling echoing the glass at the reception desk.

The third floor is the Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is broken into pods which create an environment for four infants. The space provides both privacy as well as a sense of community for families with infants that require a higher level of care.

The fourth floor provided twelve addition private patient rooms and the fifth floor, the penthouse; is reserved for seven concierge rooms featuring amenities found in a luxury hotel while still promoting the highest level of care for their patients.
