Stephen Boruff, AIA Architects + Planners, Inc. was commissioned to provide full architectural and engineering services for the additions and renovations to approximately 5,600 square feet of space on the first floor of Jupiter Medical Center. This addition will provide space for eight (8) new semi-private fast track bays, two (2) new triage rooms, office space, nurse station, Founders’s Lounge, clean holding, soiled utility, and associated support spaces for the existing Emergency Department. The new Petrocelli Family Emergency Center will be designed to create an environment that is both practical and user-friendly in an effort to provide a sense of comfort, stability, and safety to the patients and families during their stay. The new Emergency Center will allow the hospital to add additional emergency department staff providing specialist consulting using telehealth technology and dedicated emergency physicians at peak hours. The expanded department will complement the medical center’s mission to provide quality healthcare to the region’s growing demand for critical health services. All work was designed in accordance with the 2018 FGI Guidelines for the Design and Construction of Healthcare Facilities.
